is a local non-governmental organization (LNGO) based in Laas’anod the capital of Khatumo State of Somalia. KDRC was founded on 15 June 2024 and is governed by a Board of Directors (BoD) of five members.
KDRC is dedicated to promoting peace, good governance, and community development through research and participatory action. We engage with communities and stakeholders in SSC-Khatumo state and beyond to foster sustainable and inclusive growth.
KDRC aims to participate in the peace and reconstruction of Somalia by fostering a democratic system of government, promoting social and economic development, and ensuring respect for human rights for all.
We empower communities through principles like community control, public sector leadership, effective relationships, improving outcomes, and accountability, enabling local communities to lead their own development.
KDRC utilizes Participatory Action Research (PAR) as its primary methodology, engaging community members directly to ensure that our research and initiatives are both relevant and beneficial.
